What to eat in and around Seattle today: Boon Boona Coffee

Those seeking the perfect cup of coffee need to stop by Boon Boona Coffee.

The 20-minute drive to Renton will be well worth it when you take a sip of their delicious caffeinated beverages.

Founder Efrem Fesaha began his journey into coffee after seeing the East African community in Seattle struggle to find quality and consistency in their coffee. He worked on sourcing the highest quality coffee from Africa while looking to develop long-lasting relationships and supporting the sustainability of the farmers’ crops.

“Boon Boona Coffee is the bridge between African specialty coffee and you,” their website states.

Start your day off with a freshly poured coffee. All of their coffee beans are roasted in-house and served up freshly ground. The spot has a rotating seasonal menu of drinks, as well as an espresso bar, slow bar, and tea menu.

Those looking to take home a bag of coffee can order online, or pick up in person. The roasters sell both unroasted coffee bags, as well as roasted coffees. They currently have six types of roasted bagged coffee available, as well as a $34 monthly subscription which includes two bags of coffee a month.
