Climb the steps of the space needle for charity this weekend

Sep 23 2020, 7:44 pm

There are only 832 steps between you and the top of Seattle’s most iconic building.

This weekend, the Space Needle is inviting climbers all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond to step up and join in on its annual Base 2 Space Challenge which encourages Seattleites to climb all the way to the top of the needle.

Due to current coronavirus precautions, the challenge is going virtual for the first time ever.

This year, the Space Needle is inviting everyone to join the challenge — no payment or registration required.

The challenge will take place this Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. All you have to do is find stairs close to your home, and climb!

Once you’ve completed all of your steps, share your accomplishments through the hashtag #Base2Space2020 on social media.

As usual, Base 2 Space is benefitting cancer research. Those looking to donate can do so online.
