Occupiers of the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) have been filling the area with movies, music, and art.
Their latest activist art piece took place on Wednesday night when demonstrators began painting Pine Street with white block letters spelling out “Black Lives Matter,” similar to the street mural in Washington DC.
On Thursday, each white letter was given to a different artist in the community to paint over and has included collaboration by Teddy Phillips, Joe Nix, and T-DUB Customs.
