Salt & Straw/Press Release

These indulgent, creamy, and fully dairy free ice creams — aptly titled the Vegandulgence series — will be available by scoop, flight, or point at all Salt & Straw scoop shops in Portland from December 27th onwards.

“We have so much fun working with local partners and suppliers, and experimenting with textures and taste in our dairy flavors. We wanted to put the same care and indulgence into vegan flavors, making our ice creams more inclusive for everyone,” said Salt & Straw Head Ice Cream Maker Tyler Malek, in a press release.

Here are all the flavors available in vegan series:

Creamy cashews, coconut yogurt, mounds of lemon zest, almond crumble, and salted vanilla coconut ice cream come together to create a lush vegan cheesecake ice cream.
Banana & Peanut Butter Tofu Pudding (v)
Peanut butter, creamy banana gelato made silky by soy milk, is what makes up this glorious banana and peanut butter tofu pudding.
Sunflower Butter Cups (v)
Sunflower seed butter, sweetened coconut cream is folded with organic chocolate stracciatella and marionberry jam for a deconstructed butter cup.
Toasted Oat Milk & Cookies (v)
Vegan, gluten-free chocolate chip cookies and ganache are mixed with an oatmeal-like ice cream for a completely allergen-free milk & cookies experience.
Rocky Road w/ Aquafaba Marshmallows (v)
Aquafaba—bean cooking liquid— is used to make marshmallows, and added to candied sunflower seeds for that classic rockiness, along with lush chocolate ice cream.
