Portlandians gathered in masses again Tuesday night, and for the fifth time in a row, Portland streets saw demonstrators partaking in loud, unignorable protests.

Ensuring that their message was heard, the protesters shut down the Burnside Bridge as thousands upon thousands lay in the streets making it impossible for vehicles to pass.

Lying on their stomachs, with their hands behind their back, assuming the same position that George Floyd was killed in, and holding silence for nine minutes, protesters hoped to convey a message that would speak louder than words.
