This week-long poutine festival takes over Old Montreal this August

It seems like all that hard work to maintain your summer body is about to go down the tubes.

The Old Port’s week-long poutine festival, Le Grand Poutinefest, is making a greasy return to Montreal next month.

More than 45 different types of the Quebec specialty dish will be on-site, ranging from the traditional (obviously), to a gourmet foie gras dish, a duck confit poutine, a decadent macaroni and cheese combo, vegan options, and dozens of other takes on the popular trifecta.

According to event organizers, over 100,000 guests join the poutine festival which will also host a slew of activities including live music, public entertainers, makeup artists, inflatable games, and water events to keep people cool.

Le Grand Poutinefest will also host bar kiosks from different microbreweries across the province.

The festival site is free to enter and each poutine will be sold at various prices.

Pricing, participating restaurants, and music acts have yet to be finalized but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as soon as details drop.

Get those stretchy pants ready, everything is coming up gravy.
