A teenage boy has died after being struck by a school bus in Saint-Agathe-des-Mont in the Laurentians, roughly 100 km north of the island of Montreal.
According to a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, the young man was crossing the corner of Légaré and Brissette Street when the bus hit him.

The SQ reports being called to the scene at 4:30 pm, where the teen was then transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital, and he was pronounced dead shortly after.
Specialists from the Sûreté du Québec are investigating the incident and authorities are meeting with witnesses to learn the specific details of the accident.
SQ Police could not provide the young man’s age or name.
