STM adds service on 2 Metro lines to reduce passenger wait time

The STM has taken measures to make sure riders don’t have to wait more than five minutes on the network’s two busiest lines.

Effective as of Monday, Montreal’s public transit agency has added 115 more trains that will pass daily on the Orange and Green Metro lines in order to reduce weekday wait times.

According to the Société de transport de Montréal, “from 7 am to 10:30 pm, passengers using the Orange and Green lines will not have to wait more than five minutes for their train.”

The increase in trains will take place from Monday through Friday.

This measure represents an additional 3,592 km covered a day which amounts to 17,960 km per week, part of a series of actions taken by the STM to enhances its customers’ transit experience.
