STM bus fares to gradually resume throughout Montreal: ARTM

You might want to start carrying around a few bucks in change because STM bus will gradually be reincorporating fares throughout its transit network.
The Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority (ARTM), announced that fares will be reinstated throughout the STM, STL (Laval), and Longueuil (RTL) in the “coming weeks.”

The ARTM, which oversees transit authority throughout the entire Montreal metropolitan area, says passengers will also soon be able to board through the front of the buses again and will be required to have a valid ticket.
“This return to normal will take place gradually,” says the French ARTM press release, “and the individual transport companies are installing protective panels for the driver’s on all of their buses.”

The ARTM is also strongly suggesting that all passengers wear face masks or coverings throughout its entire network.
