Quebec reports more than 1,000 coronavirus cases for third day in a row

Quebec discovered more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases for the third day in a row, as the pandemic’s second wave sweeps the country.
Health officials reported 1,097 new coronavirus cases Saturday, in line with the 1,102 cases found Friday and the 1,087 found Thursday.
The province has now seen more than 85,000 cases since the pandemic began.

Three more people died of the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing Quebec’s death toll to 5,950 (seven more deaths from previous days were also added to the total).
Around Quebec, 444 people are in hospital with coronavirus infections, and 73 of them are in the ICU.
Quebec has seen more than 1,000 coronavirus cases every day this week except for October 6, when there were 900.
