Quebec reports over 1,050 new coronavirus case increase in past day

Quebec public health has announced 1,078 new coronavirus cases since Wednesday morning.
According to Santé Quebec, the province’s coronavirus death toll has increased to 5,915 after announcing nine new COVID-19 related deaths attributed to October 5.
There are now 82,992 cases in the province, 425 hospitalizations, and 68 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 1,570,465 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 65,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Wednesday, October 7, at 6 pm.

Public health continues to advise people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, and respect the maximum 10-person limit for indoor gatherings.
