Quebec public health has announced 1,102 new coronavirus cases since Thursday morning.
According to Santé Quebec, the province’s coronavirus death toll has increased to 5,936 after announcing eight new COVID-19 related deaths, four of which have been attributed to early this past week.
There are now 84,094 cases in the province, 433 hospitalizations, and 68 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 1,584,474 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 65,000 cases have been resolved.
The new data has been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Thursday, October 8, at 6 pm.

Public health continues to advise people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, and respect the maximum 10-person limit for indoor gatherings.
