The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 4,935, after announcing 50 more deaths since Thursday afternoon.
There are a reported 255 new known cases of the coronavirus, according to the Santé Quebec website. That brings the confirmed total to 52,398 known cases with 1,030 hospitalizations, 131 of whom are in the ICU.
Currently, a reported 424,619 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec and over 15,000 cases have been resolved.

The data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Thursday, June 4, at 6 pm. Quebec’s public health authority said 17 of the newly announced deaths occurred prior to May 29.
