Quebec reports over 180 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,674 after announcing one new death since Thursday morning.

Coronavirus cases in the province have also increased by 181 in the past 24 hours.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 59,312 cases in the province, 189 hospitalizations, and 15 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 766,056 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 30,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Thursday, July 30, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says that despite the newly announced cases, hospitalizations continue to drop.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,929.
