Quebec reporting under 150 new coronavirus cases for the 5th consecutive day

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,646 after announcing ten more deaths and 142 known cases since Tuesday morning.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 57,001 cases in the province, 277 hospitalizations, and 20 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 658,238 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec and over 30,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Wednesday, July 15, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says this is the fifth day in a row in which more than 100 cases have been reported.

The provincial public health authority says that despite the new cases, hospitalizations continue to drop.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,810.
