Quebec reports over 120 new coronavirus cases, two more deaths

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,683 after announcing two more deaths since Sunday morning.

COVID-19 cases in the province increased by 123 in the past 24 hours.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 59,722 cases in the province, 172 hospitalizations, and 18 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 796,593 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 30,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Sunday, August 2, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says that along with the newly announced cases, hospitalizations increased by one since Sunday, climbing from 17 to 18 patients in the ICU.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,945.
