Quebec reports over 120 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,685 after announcing one new death since Monday morning.

Coronavirus cases in the province have also increased by 123 in the past 24 hours.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 58,845 cases in the province, 169 hospitalizations, and 21 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 803,858 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 30,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Monday, August 3, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says that despite the newly announced cases, hospitalizations continue to drop.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,951.
