Quebec reports under 100 coronavirus cases for fifth consecutive day

There are 46 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the province over the past 24 hours, the fifth consecutive day of less than 100 reported cases in Quebec.

According to Santé Quebec, the province’s coronavirus death toll has also increased by six since Monday morning, raising the provincial total to 5,727.

There are now 61,252 cases in the province, 145 hospitalizations, and 27 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 935,377 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and 53,930 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Monday, August 17, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says that despite the newly announced cases, hospitalizations continue to stabilize.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 9,032.
