A video of a London, Ontario, officer helping out a woman during the recent cold snap has gone viral.

The video was first shared on January 27, and shows a woman being assisted with her groceries. The police officer takes her groceries and places it in the trunk, as the woman gets into his vehicle.

โ€œKudos to this @lpsmediaoffice officer, who saw this woman walking on the street with her groceries โ€“ because the sidewalk was full of snow โ€“ with the temperature at -10 C and decided to give her a ride home,โ€ tweeted the poster of the video.

She later explained that it easily felt like -15/-18 at the time, โ€œbut the temperature is not the point here. If more people did at least a good deed a day we would live in a better world. Probably not in a world where people complain about every little thing too.โ€

Her video didnโ€™t go unnoticed by London Police.

โ€œThis is just one example of a police officer going above and beyond to help others. Things like this happen each and every day by officers and citizens everywhere,โ€ they said.

The video has been seen almost 80,000 times to date.

Deputy Daryl Longworth thanked Daniela โ€“ the original poster โ€“ for sharing the video.

โ€œThis officer certainly went above and beyond,โ€ he said. โ€œTruth is our officers are out there doing similar acts of service every day, most of which go unnoticed. Thank you for noticing.โ€

And now, a lot of others have also noticed too.
