A Montrealer took home a smooth $811,669 while playing an online lottery game for the first time.
Jacqueline Arseneault signed up for an account and played Loto-Québec’s Golden Goddess MegaJackpots after seeing an ad celebrating the game’s anniversary.
“I opened an account online after seeing that Loto-Québec was celebrating its 50th anniversary,” the lucky winner said.

On the morning of June 25, Arseneault said her gamble paid off in her actual first game. “I saw a message pop up and went to get a magnifying glass so that I could read it. My heart was racing, I was so excited.”
The young winner says she called Loto-Québec to ask if she really was a first-time winner, telling the company over the phone she thought it was a prank.
Loto-Québec says Arseneault will use her new riches to spoil her family and bring some plans to fruition.
Arseneault should keep playing the online game, as she is on pace to win $1,623,338 her next time playing as well.
