Montreal will welcome the first weekend of 2020 with some snow.
According to The Weather Network’s short-term forecast, up to 4 cm of snow is forecasted to fall throughout Saturday before dipping to -9ºC (with windchill) on Sunday.

After enduring a green Christmas, Montreal was smacked with close to 20 cm of powder just as 2019 was drawing to a close. The start of 2020 in Montreal has brought some mild weather with it, turning the city’s snow into the dreaded heavy kind.
On Thursday, workers began the city’s second snow-removal operation of the season, which will now carry over into the weekend.
The weather agency forecasts the potential for 11 total cm of snow at the beginning of next week, from Monday to Wednesday, atop the 4 cm expected this weekend.
