It’s never a bad idea to take your significant other on a romantic walk through the streets of Montreal.

But it’s especially never a bad idea in today’s world.

Considering you can’t go out for a classic dinner and a movie this Valentine’s Day, bundling up and taking a stroll through the gorgeous sights of Montreal should be on your radar.

February’s weather means a picnic is off the table, but some hooch in a to-go cup isn’t a horrible idea…

Here are a few places to tackle for a lover’s walk on Valentine’s Day around Montreal.

Lachine Canal

Take a walk along the historic St. Lawrence River, which goes all the way from Old Montreal to Lachine.

Stroll through the Atwater Market, grab some takeout food and enjoy the majestic waterfront trail.

Old Montreal

Narrow cobblestone streets covered in snow, can it get any prettier?

Walk past the grace of the Notre-Dame Basilica, check out the glistening dome of the Bonsecours Market, or soak up a breathtaking nighttime view of the landscape of downtown Montreal.
