Skytrax has released its annual ‘World Airport Awards‘ and Montreal’s Trudeau Airport has rounded out North America’s top 10.
Just in time for all your springtime and summer travelling.
Additionally, YUL ranks as the 62nd best airport in the world, which represents a five-ranking jump from last year’s 67.
Montreal’s global ranking is just wedged in between Muscat at number 61 and Moscow Sheremetyevo at 63.
The report ranks Changi as the world’s best airport, followed by Tokyo Haneda Airport, Seoul Incheon Airport, Doha Homad Airport, and Hong Kong.
The only two other Canadian airports that rank in the top 100 are Toronto Pearson International Airport, ranked 50th (a big drop from 41st in 2018), and Vancouver International Airport at number 17.
Skyrax’s airport rankings are based on passenger comfort and airport design.
The annual Skytrax rankings are deemed by some as the most prestigious and recognized awards in the aviation industry. Besides ranking airports overall, it also surveys other aviation industry aspects such as analyzes airlines, airline lounges, airport hotels, airport dining, airport shopping, and airport staff.
Additionally, Montreal’s Pierre-Elliot Trudeau Airport staff were also ranked the fourth best in North America, just after Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, our westward neighbours in Vancouver and the Denver International Airport.
