Humpday is here! From dining out for a good cause to an organ competition, check out these Montreal events happening around town today.

Restaurants for Change

Dine out. Do good. That’s the motto for Restaurants for Change, a Canada-wide event taking place at 92 restaurants in 19 cities. In Montreal, seven restaurants are participating this year, each donating proceeds from the night’s dinner service towards supporting “Community Food Centres Canada and community food programs across Canada.

La Ronde Fright Fest

What: Fright Fest, is back for another terrifying year. Fright Fest offers a wide variety of places to get your scare on including several haunted houses and scare zones located throughout the park. The stuff of nightmares lurks around every corner, as the dark of night washes over the park.

La Balade pour la Paix: An Open-Air Museum

What: This major international public art exhibition brings together 72 works of art by renowned artists, each carrying a message of peace and reflecting the universal values of humanism, tolerance and openness. These are the values that all inspired the creation of Montréal’s 1967 International and Universal Exposition, Expo67.

Secret Montreal

Learn something new about our fair city. Local tour company, Secret Montreal, is currently running “The Red Light of Montreal” tour, which teaches participants about the city’s indecent past.

Canadian International Organ Competition

What: The fourth annual Canadian International Organ Competition will be taking place this month and will welcome young organists to Montreal from around the world. Each year, the organization works to promote the organ as a major instrument in the world of music and also contributes to the development of the careers of the young organists.
