There’s a lot going on in the country today as we head to the polls to elect members of the House of Commons and the 43rd Canadian Prime Minister.

Here is what else is going on around town today, October 21.

There’s Something Funny Going On at Blue Dog

Like it does every Monday, Blue Dog is hosting a comedy show tonight featuring 5 to 6 local comics at the very low price of pay-what-you-can.

It’s a great way to start off the week. Especially if the elections aren’t going in your favour.

When: Monday, October 21
Time: 8:30 pm – 11 pm
Where: Blue Dog Motel, 3958 St-Laurent
Price: Pay what you can

Gardens of Light

As it does every fall, the Gardens of Light returned to the city, shining thousands of bright lights at the Botanical Garden.

Espace pour la vie invites everyone to discover the cultural riches of the three gardens along an illuminated pathway in its flagship autumn event.

The venue is split up into three gardens: the Chinese Garden, the First Nations Garden, and the Japanese Garden.

McKibbin’s Pub Stumpers

DodgeBow is exactly what it sounds like: dodgeball fused with bow and arrows.

The exhilarating team-based archery combat sport is capped with cushion-ends so they don’t hurt when they hit you and you can channel your inner Legolas when flinging them.

Face-off with your friends in the DodgeBow arena and put your marksmanship skills to the test. That’ll show the rain who’s boss.
