As it does every fall, the Gardens of Light returned to the Montreal Botanical Garden where it will continue to shine bright until the end of October.
The venue is split up into three gardens: the Chinese Garden, the First Nations Garden, and the Japanese Garden, all of which are oozing with fantastic photo opportunities.

“Every aspect of the circuit from the design of the lanterns, to the arrangement of the illuminated objects, and the atmosphere created — is deeply rooted in a rich culture and in perfect symbiosis with it,” reads the Garden’s press release. “Gardens of Light, in addition to the illuminated circuit, is an authentic gateway to three fascinating and inspiring cultures.”
Botanical Garden organizers urge guests to book your tickets in advance as “they were a really big hit last year.”
In order to deal with the garden’s high volume of guests, the Botanical Garden is issuing timed tickets. “To ensure that you can truly enjoy the Gardens of Light, you have to reserve a specific time for your visit when you buy your tickets. That way you’ll be able to stroll freely through the Jardin botanique’s three cultural gardens.”
No admission will be granted to guests without reservations.
To get you jazzed for the month-long light display, here are 20 shots from the first week of the Gardens of Light.
