The Canadiens had a busy week: they beat the Anaheim Ducks at home on Monday, thrashed the high-octane Winnipeg Jets on Thursday and tonight, they welcome their bitter rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs — how perfect.

They’ll welcome the newly extended¬†Auston Matthews¬†and the Toronto Maple Leafs to a sure-to-be buzzing Bell Centre.

Sarah Brightman Concert

Sarah Brightman is an English classical crossover soprano, singer, songwriter, actress, dancer and musician. Brightman has sung in many languages including English, Spanish, French, Latin, German, Turkish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Catalan.

She’ll be gracing Place Bell with her presence on Saturday.

Honesca Ice Bike Race

The third annual race combines two well known Montreal activities: biking and trying not to skid on ice.

The one-day event will host three ice bike contests (fork, studded and fat tire bikes), bike limbo (roll under a bar on your bike), a pick-up challenge and the ‚Äúslowest race without falling over‚ÄĚ contest.

There will also be a DJ on site, demonstrations, time trials, local merchants selling winter gear and accessories and of course, food trucks.

It costs moolah to register but attending the event is free.

Forum Sports Bar

Start the weekend off with some bowling.

POP Yoga Neige

Downward dog-sled, anyone?

Montreal-based fitness company POP Spirit is hosting a series of outdoor snow yoga sessions this winter.

Aptly titled POP Yoga Neige, classes will take place every Saturday and Sunday from now until March 24 at Parc La Fontaine and Parcours Gouin, respectively.

All classes are free to the public and boast top-notch, professional instructors. All you have to do is bring your own mat and dress warmly (and we mean, really warm).

Fête des neiges

The 36th edition of the Fête des neiges festival rolls into its fourth weekend.

Outdoor activities include snow tubing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, snow archery, an icy pirate ship, ice skating, ice sculptures, ziplining, a Ferris wheel, Tour de Lévis, axe throwing, a penguin village, a Polar Circus, snow scooters, an inflatable bouncy castle, and a mini igloo play area.

That’ll show winter who’s boss.

Parc-Nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques

The City of Montreal wants you to see more of this gorgeous province this winter by checking out the city‚Äôs biggest national park ‚Äď for free.

So, pack a lunch, hop on a shuttle bus and spend the day in the great Canadian outdoors!

Parc-Nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques is offering free shuttle services from downtown Montreal this weekend (and six days afterwards).

With 330 hectares of land, the Parc-Nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques is the largest park in Montreal. It’s bordered by Lac des Deux Montagnes and the Rivière des Prairies, offering magnificent views of icy, snowy, land.

The park is also boarded by ecological farms that include cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, ponies and pigs as well as a rustic sugar shack where guest can enjoy locally produced maple syrup.

LanETS

The LanETS is a club from ETS (Ecole de technologie sup√©rieure) that organizes what they call ‚Äúthe biggest Lan party of the east coast.‚ÄĚ

2000 gamers compete for prizes ($40,000 worth of prizes) and there’s a plethora of cosplay, scavenger hunts, and exhibitors too.

Olympic Park is hosting a variety of winter games on Saturday and Sunday, fun for the whole family.

Activities include ice skating, a snowskate park, ice slides, snowshoeing and a heated cafe to keep you warm.

Jeff Caldwell Stand-Up Show

Six-time Letterman veteran Jeff Caldwell will be in town for his last show of three shows in Montreal.
