5 things to do in Montreal today: Monday, June 25

Mondays are usually tough to deal with, but they’re not all bad. Like today, June 25, it’s a Monday… but it feels like a Sunday to most of us.

Keep in mind, a lot of places are closed today so plan your day accordingly. Besides that, here are some fun things happening in town today.

Free DJ in the Garden

DJ Dave Allison has been all over the world and is now working out of Montreal. He’s hosting a free show tonight as he spins his signature mix of disco music with house. He’s spinning at the beautiful Gamelin garden and it’s free!

The Monday Mix at the Comedy Nest

Start the week off with some laughs. Mondays at the Comedy Nest is a weekly variety show. The cozy club features open-mic comedians, improv, magicians, jugglers, sketch comedy, and musical acts. The show is hosted by Just-For-Laughs Zoofest vet Darren Henwood and audience members get free popcorn.

Free Movies in the Park

Talcy Park usually shows movies in the park every Sunday but are hosting a special screening of Peter Rabbit for today’s holiday Monday. The screening is free to attend and organizers ask guests to bring their own chairs, blankets, pillows and snacks.

London Pub’s Industry Night

If you want to keep the long weekend party going on Monday night, head to London Pub. They offer industry nights on Mondays. It’s designed to offer inexpensive drinks to bar, pub, and restaurant staff from around the city but it’s slowly morphed into drink deals for everybody. Grab a $4 single or a $3 shot of Jameson. Plus they have a free dart board and an in-house jukebox.

Yoga on the Canal

Moksha Yoga Griffintown is bringing guests yoga on the canal this weekend. The session is open to everyone from any (or no) yoga background. The class happens in the evening to give you a cool and calming practice while watching the sunset.
