Attend Montreal’s giant yoga festival
Calling all yogis! A massive yoga expo is coming to Montreal next month. Head down to to the Montreal Convention Centre on February 10 and 11 to participate in the second edition of this international event dedicated to yoga and mindfulness. The expo encompasses two jam-packed days of asana, meditation, and relaxation.

Women & Science
The Montreal Science Center joins the United Nations International Women and Girls Science Day with its Science for Women event. The aim is to inspire and promote the participation of women and girls in science. Free to attend for girls under 18.

Free Snow Yoga

Snow archery in Montreal
For those of you who don’t know, Parc Jean Drapeau’s annual Fete des Neiges festival is back! In addition to the typical ice skating, snow tubing, and cross-country skiing adventures, there is also snow archery. Try your hand, Katniss-style, at this exciting event. Described as being similar to dodgeball, this snow archery game is sure to get your blood pumping.

Check out Montreal’s ‘Virtual Reality Garden’
If you’re looking for the ultimate virtual reality experience head down to the Phi Centre. From January 23 to February 12, the Phi Centre will be hosting a special edition of its ‘Virtual Reality Garden.’ You’ll be able to view screenings of the five productions nominated in the Best immersive production category at the Canadian Screen Awards.

LeChop 2017
The 6th edition of the LeChop culinary festival is back next month. And this year LeChop MTL wants to give back to the community. The organization has partnered with Share the Warmth to offer a delicious 2-course table d’hote menu at participating restaurants to help fight the battle against food insecurity.

Visit Montreal’s man-made ski and tubing hills
Pente à Neige –an organization working to bring back skiing to the city by constructing man-made slopes at Parc Ignace-Bourget. Now the slopes are open and the park includes ski and snowboard courses with a carpet lift, two slopes for tubing, a sliding trail and a free ice rink.

Check out the winter village at Olympic Park
The traditional winter village at Montreal’s Olympic Park has officially returned for 2017 and 2018. From now until March 25, 2018, you can enjoy outdoor skating on a brand new frozen trail, browse the pop-up shops and discover artisanal products, and take part in plenty of other fun winter activities.
