Add this modern local coffee spot to your Montreal must-try cafe list

You can never have too many cafe spots in Montreal.
Maybe you’re on the Lachine Canal and you need a quick coffee. Maybe you’re buying weekend goods at the Atwater Market and you need a caffeine fix.
Because Montreal is so rich in coffee culture, it’s probably smart to always know where the nearest cafe is. If you’re down by Little Burgundy and Pointe-Saint-Charles, keep Café Redwood on your must-try radar.

Café Redwood is a bright and modern coffee shop that serves up specialized coffee, treats, summer drinks, sandwiches, and desserts.
The elegant spot has been open since December but never got a chance to catch its stride due to the pandemic. Café Redwood is open every day and has late-afternoon hours, offering those early-evening coffee drinkers a cup o’ joe.

While speaking with Daily Hive, Café Redwood owner Dan said the spot offers a “relaxed and fun space where guests can enjoy specialty coffee, a social hub, and workspace — all with a view of the timeless Lachine Canal.”
Dan says Café Redwood’s coffee style is third-wave minimalist and the coffee spot supports local talents and businesses by offering fresh pastries, bread, and treats.
Café Redwood’s most popular item is its lattes, and the spot offers all kinds of milk alternatives including pistachio milk which Dan says is “amazing in iced matcha or iced lattes,” as well as the fan-favourite lavender lattes and lemonade.
Café Redwood is located at 2604 Rue Saint Patrick and is open from 8 am to 6 pm (8:30 am on Saturdays and Sundays).
