These in-person Montreal activities are reopening this week

Mar 23 2021, 8:49 pm

The Quebec government has loosened COVID-19 restrictions on certain sectors for Montreal, even though it remains in the red zone.

While gyms and fitness centres have been given the green light to reopen as of March 26, spas, venues, theatres, cinemas, and other activities have also been granted the okay to reopen, with precautionary measures in place.

A face mask must be worn inside at all times, clients must practice physical distancing, and a maximum capacity (relative to the business’s size) must be respected.

With that said, here are a variety of activities that will reopen as of Friday, March 26 across Montreal for people who are itching to, you know, go do something again.

A/Maze: Montreal Escape Room

We escaped the winter, now use your deductive skills to get out of an escape room.

Work as a team (or by yourself if you’re a real detective) to escape a variety of themed rooms including a military facility, prison, asylum, submarine, and laboratory.

Prices range from $24 to $35 a person and the chain’s locations at Atwater, The Plateau, and Point Claire are reopening on Friday.

You might have a decent amount of rage built up over the past year, how about taking it out on some wooden blocks?

Both Rage: Axe Throwing locations are reopening on Friday (downtown and the South Shore). The activity will be offered in both solo and duo formats for customers of the same family bubble.

Scandinave Spa Vieux-Montreal

As of Friday, this Scandinavian spa in Old Montreal will be reopening their bath and hydrotherapy circuits.

Because let’s be honest, we could all use some relaxing time right about now.

Softball and baseball season is right around the corner, and the Coup Sûr batting cages are reopening on Friday as well.

The cages offer slow, medium, and fast pitching machines for both softball and baseball as well as a netted area to practice pitching.

Coup Sûr is the biggest batting cage in the Montreal metro area and will allow a maximum of 26 people inside at a time. The pro shop is also open in case you need to deck yourself out with new gear for the upcoming season.

Musée Grevin

You’ve probably seen your fair share of celebrities on streaming services over the past year (like, what else could we do?) so why not check out some celebrities in wax form?

The museum at the top floor of the Eaton Centre has over 200 wax statues in a cool and immersive environment.

Battle the not-yet-summer blues and pretend you’re out on the coast.

Oasis Surf in Brossard is an indoor pool, open to amateur and experienced surfers looking to ride the waves.

Radical.
