The long weekend is in our sights!
Whether you’re sneaking off to the countryside or keeping busy in the city, this year’s Victoria Day Weekend will feature nice days on both ends of the weekend with some Saturday and Sunday showers wedged in between.
According to Environment Canada, Montreal will be getting a little taste of everything this weekend.
Friday will kick off the long weekend with 15°C and 14 hours of sunshine. Don’t forget to add low winds of 20 km/h according to The Weather Network.
The actual weekend will bring in warmer temperatures and some rain. Saturday is slated to be 18°C with 10-15 millimetres of periodical rain. Sunday’s 21°C will also bring in rain, totalling only 2-4 millimetres.
Expect 6 and 5 hours of sunshine respectively for Saturday and Sunday.
Celebrate Queen Victoria’s birthday on Monday with the best gift of all, a gorgeous day: 22°C and an estimated 14 hours of sun.

The Weather Network’s meteorologist, Dr. Doug Gillham, says the scattered rain won’t ruin everybody’s Monday-off.
“Unsettled weather will spread into southern Quebec on Sunday, bringing a period of showers. However, at this point we are cautiously optimistic that this front will be well south of the border by Monday, allowing some sunshine to return.”
If you’re in the city or enjoying the country, get your sunshine at the start and tail end of the weekend.
And regardless of what you’re up to, enjoy it and make the most out of the long weekend.
