Lowe’s Canada is looking to hire for more than 1,900 jobs in Quebec next month.

According to the company, in preparation for home improvement’s busiest season, Lowe’s Canada, will be looking to fill more than 6,350 full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions across the country.

And to kick off its hiring campaign, Lowe’s Canada will hold a National Hiring Day on February 23 in all of its 67 Lowe’s stores, close to 200 RONA corporate stores, and 22 Reno-Depot stores.

Interested candidates can just head into their preferred store between 9 am and 4 pm on February 23 to learn more about the various positions.

Lowe’s says that the available positions include retail sales managers, customer service associates, cashiers, stockers, boom truck drivers, and sales specialists.

To accommodate student candidates, most seasonal jobs will begin in April.

Besides its approximately 1,950 jobs available in Quebec, the company will also be looking for 2,650 jobs available in Ontario, about 800 in Alberta, and over 500 in BC.


This news comes following the company’s announcement that it would be closing down up to 31 Canadian stores, and close to 20 more south of the border.

According to Lowe’s at the time, it is “winding-down” certain “underperforming store locations as part of its ongoing strategic reassessment.”

There was no word on how many employees will be affected by the closures.
