Laval is about to get a whole lot brighter.

The second edition of Illumi, Laval’s “dazzling world of lights,” is returning with a revamped edition of its LED light show.

Illumi is produced by Cavalia, the Montreal-based company that specializes in the creation and production of live shows.

This year’s exhibition, which shines bright from October 9, 2020, to January 10, 2021, offers visitors a “magical and safe experience” by car, on foot, or by mini train.

According to Illumi’s press release, this year’s edition is three times bigger than the original, featuring 17 different scenes, 15 million LED lights, and over 3,000 structures.

In October, guests will get a chance to enjoy “a special Halloween touch” featuring LED monsters, ghosts, witches, and thousands of pumpkins. After Halloween, Illumi will be made over to light up the night with “several thousand light sculptures celebrating winter and the holidays.”

A limited number of tickets are available per day to ensure physical distancing in the walkable path, mini train, and drive-thru varieties. Tickets must be purchased in advance and reserved online through the Illumi website.

For the Illumi experience by car or on foot, tickets start at $15.50 for children (3 to 12 years old) and $19.50 for adults (13 and older).

The mini-train journey costs $19.50 for children and $28.50 for adults. A family package for groups of four is available starting at $64.

There is a reduced rate for seniors (65 and over), and children under the age of two are granted free entry.

The schedule varies based on which method of transportation you’re comfortable with using and can be found on the venue’s website.
