It’s never too early to start talking Christmas, especially given how the year 2020 has gone so far.

Some Christmas magic might do us all well.

The outskirts of the Atwater Market will be transformed into a Christmas village for the 5th edition of  Village de Noël, starting on November 21 until December 20.

The village will include 40 local craftsmen and restauranteurs, concerts, choirs and shows, a sugar shack, an outdoor fire pit, creative activities, and Christmas tree sales.

The village is currently accepting applications for exhibitors with the entire sign-up process taking place online.

In terms of the pandemic, Village de Noël says the layout has been designed to ensure physical distancing and to ensure safety for all its guests.

Sanitization stations will be located at each entrance and wearing a masks will be mandatory for all guests aged 12 and up. Furnished “gourmet areas” will allow villagers to sit down, relax, remove masks, have a snack, and enjoy some tasty treats offered on-site.
