One of the most important festivals dedicated to world music from Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America starts today!

Montréal’s Festival International Nuits d’Afrique is celebrating its 30th birthday, a historic edition that celebrates three decades of world music in a big way!

For this anniversary edition, the Festival brings a bolder and more diversified innovative program. Local celebrity Herby Moreau, will be the spokesperson of this 30th edition, rolling out the red carpet for top artists entering our city.

To celebrate 3 years, the festival will be adding a sixth day of free activities and concert events, outdoors on the Parterre of the Quartier des spectacles. The public will have access to Espace Agor Afrique (at Clark and de Maisonneuve), offering a plethora of activities for the entire family, more than 40 daytime activities, and an original immersive experience in the evening.
