La Ronde’s 30-Hour Coffin Challenge is ready to box you in next week

Oct 2 2018, 3:35 am

Would you be willing to spend 30 hours in a coffin? Because starting next week, you can. La Ronde has added an eerie, mentally enduring coffin challenge, daring participants to spend 30-hours inside a funerary box.

Six coffin dwellers will be chosen to endure the challenge which goes from October 13 to 14.

Participants must stay in the coffin for the entire 30 hours, except for a six-minute break every hour, to use the washroom. People who step outside the coffins for any reason, with the exception of the designated bathroom breaks, will be disqualified.

All players will have to eat their meals inside the coffin as well. No word yet on how strong coffin Wi-Fi is.

The person who completes the challenge will get $300 cash, two 2019 Gold Season Passes, two 2019 Dinning Season Passes and two Fright Fest Passes for the Haunted House. Plus, bragging rights on spending 30 hours in a coffin and then getting out. As an added reward, the winner will be allowed to keep the very same handcrafted coffin they spent 30 gruelling hours inside.

Coffin dwellers must be 18 years or older and have a valid photo ID. Coffin-bound hopefuls cannot have existing medical conditions that would make lying in a coffin a risk to health or well-being, must sign a waiver at check-in, and must provide their own pillows, sleeping bags or blankets.

Six Flags La Ronde will provide deluxe, slightly used coffins (creepy), all meals, a phone charging station and random visits by the park’s Fright Fest Freaks.

Online registration is currently open for the cozy coffin and the participants will be chosen on Friday, October 5.

Good luck to all the participants, you’re braver than most.
