Monkland’s Street Festival is back!

After a year-long hiatus, the trendy neighbourhood’s festival was revived as ‘Imagine Monkland.’

Over 50 restaurants and stores set up along Avenue Monkland from Avenue Girouard to Avenue Harvard, which was completely closed off to vehicular traffic. The street festival welcomed a parade, live bands, circus acts, kid’s activities, street art, dancing, and a massive sidewalk sale.

The combination of NDG’s renowned restaurants, Taverne, Lucille’s, Old Orchard Pub, Local 75, Pizzédélic, and La Diperie and the 90,000 guests Monkland welcomed all weekend proved that Imagine Monkland deserves a spot as a summertime event in NDG.

Here are 21 photos from the weekend, proving Imagine Monkland shouldn’t be going anywhere any time soon.
