A heat warning is in effect for Montreal today

Jun 19 2017, 8:05 pm

The Weather Network has issued a heat warning due to a “hot and humid airmass” covering Southern Quebec.

According to the site, the hot temperatures from this past weekend will persist into today, and the temperature combined with the humidity will feel like 33 degrees.

However, they also warn that these uncomfortable temperatures will be especially bad in “areas of high urban density in Montréal and its immediate surroundings.”

Due to this, they claim that there will be an increased risk of heat illnesses such as heat stroke and heat exhaustion.

We recommend staying in cold, air-conditioned places if possible.

Stay cool, Montreal! Summer has only just begun.
