You don’t need to travel all the way to Turkey to attend an epic hot air balloon festival.
Every summer, Quebec hosts the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival (FMG), over the Labour Day weekend.
Taking place August 29 through September 2 at parc de la Baie, the flagship festival features family-friendly attractions, including entertainment, breathtaking fireworks, an amusement park, a silent DJ, a classic and modified car show, morning yoga, and of course, countless hot air balloons filling the afternoon sky.
But don’t worry if you plan on attending kid-free, there’s a VIP area where you can watch the hot air balloons lift off, snack on gourmet meals prepared by St-Estèphe, and enjoy cocktails from Le Cellier. A singer or DJ will also provide additional evening entertainment.

So be sure to plan a road trip Quebec this summer.
