
A three-month-old baby has died after an early morning fire broke out in Gatineau on Saturday morning.
Five others were injured.
According to the Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau, a man in his 30s is in “critical condition” and has been transferred to a hospital in Montreal.

Among the four others injured is a toddler who was initially treated with “serious injuries” but is now in stable condition, according to police.

The other victims include a woman in her 30s, a 12-year-old child, and a 20-month old baby, all of whom dealt with “non-life threatening injuries,” according to the Gatineau police force.
The fire broke out just before 2 am in a residential building in the Buckingham, Gatineau areas. Local police authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
