UNIQLO, the Japanese apparel retailer, is expanding into Montreal, opening its first Quebec location at the Eaton Centre this fall.

In a news release shared with Daily Hive, UNIQLO says it will open its doors at its newly renovated 32,000-sq-ft spot on October 23, 2020.

The Montreal location will be the largest UNIQLO store in Canada and will offer the brand’s full range of men’s, women’s, kids, and baby items.

The store will also have enhanced protocols that align with “local guidelines of public health officials” to continue prioritizing the health and safety of shoppers and staff, states the news release.

“We are pleased to open this new store in Montreal as part of the Eaton Centre renewal, making our high quality, functional and thoughtfully created LifeWear apparel accessible to more Canadians,” said Yuichiro Kaneko, CEO of UNIQLO Canada. “During these challenging times, we have seen continuous demand for UNIQLO and LifeWear by our customers, as we continue to offer products designed to fit new and emerging lifestyles.”

The Eaton Centre’s UNIQLO will become the 14th in the country, joining eight in the Greater Toronto Area, four across British Columbia, and one in the West Edmonton Mall.

Best known for its quality basics and relatively affordable prices, UNIQLO has over 1,800 locations around the world and is the largest clothing retailer in Asia.

Operating hours as of Friday, October 23, will be 11 am to 7 pm, Monday to Saturday.
