Emma took to Instagram this afternoon to announce the big news.

“Baby Gallagher coming this winter,” she captioned the photo.

This will be the first child for the happy couple, who got married in early July this past summer.

Gallagher became engaged to Emma during the 2023 offseason while vacationing in BC. The proposal was caught on camera, which Emma uploaded to Instagram a short time later.

“07.07.2023 – forever and always,” she wrote.

Today’s news is exciting for the entire Canadiens fan base, who have witnessed Gallagher grow up over the years. The 32-year-old is the team’s longest-tenured player, with his rookie season coming back in 2012-13.

Despite battling plenty of injuries throughout his career, Gallagher has been a very effective player for the Canadiens throughout his 780-game career, racking up 226 goals and 439 points, along with 527 penalty minutes. Through 28 games so far in 2024-25, he’s scored eight goals and 13 points.

He’s also turned into a great leader for the organization, having served as an assistant captain for the past 10 seasons.

Canadiens fans will now eagerly await for the young couple to announce the birth of their first child later this winter.
