It was a historic day for the US on Wednesday. Amid everything that took place during President Joe Biden’s inauguration, Bernie SandersĀ unwittingly stole the spotlight after being turned into a meme.
The Vermont senator got the meme treatment on Wednesday as images circulated across social media of a cross-legged Sanders sitting in a physically distanced chair in mittens and a face mask during Biden’s ceremony.
The #berniesmittens meme stopped off in Montreal as the STM (SociƩtƩ de transport de MontrƩal) posted a version of the internet joke.
