Beaconsfield High School closed today after threatening social media comments
Beaconsfield High School of Montreal’s West Island, has been closed down due to a police operation related to threats made against the school.
The school board sent an email to parents at 9 am informing them of the school closure. Buses were turned around and students were returned home.
Someone saw a threatening post on social media which was then transmitted to Montreal Police.
A message posted on the school’s website, saying the school is closed to staff and students Tuesday from the Lester B Pearson School Board.
“As a consequence of an active police operation, Beaconsfield High School is closed to staff and students for Tuesday, September 11,” says the statement.
