There's a free magical Christmas village near Atwater Market starting this month

Nov 6 2019, 4:58 pm

As if the Atwater Market isn’t magical enough, it’s about to be transformed into a ‘Christmas Village’ for its fourth edition of Village de Noël.

The village, which can be found on the outskirts of the Atwater Market, will include 40 local craftsmen and restauranteurs, concerts, choirs and shows, a sugar shack, an outdoor fire pit, creative activities, a Christmas tree sale, and face painting.

As a bonus, the big man himself, Santa Claus, will be taking time out of his very busy holiday schedule to be on site every weekend until Christmas.

“We want to offer magical moments to each and every family in town,” reads the Village de Noël website. “The site is stroller and wheelchair accessible, and all the four-legged friends are more than welcomed!”

Atwater Market, which has been open since 1933, will continue to host its usual vendors, the ideal spot to grab everything from baked goods, cheese, meat, vegetables, fruits, winter gear and of course, alcohol.
