Wild Foot Travel is providing guests with the opportunity to step foot in the real-life North Pole next year on an iconic Arctic expedition departing from Murmansk, Russia, aboard the “famous ice-breaker ship,” 50 Years of Victory.

Depending on the ice conditions, the journey to the North Pole can take upwards of a week which will “only heighten the level of excitement and anticipation as you edge closer to a land very few people are fortunate enough to ever reach,” says the company website.

Guests will also experience an included helicopter sightseeing ride as well as an exploration of the Franz Josef Land archipelago on their “way back to civilisation.”

The expedition will feature many once-in-a-lifetime highlights, including seeing polar bears and other marine animals in their natural habitat, the ice-breaker experience, as well as setting foot at the North Pole.

As part of the package, guests will receive a one-night hotel stay in Murmansk, group transfers to and from the ship, full-board accommodation once on the vessel, a program of lectures by expert guides, loaned rubber boots, as well as an expedition parka, on top of other amenities.

The expedition lasts 12 nights and 13 days from August 3 to August 15, 2020.
