Disneyland unveils new After Dark Events for 2020

Attention all Disney fans!

Disneyland has recently announced its new Disneyland After Dark Events starting in 2020, with four unique events at the Disneyland Resort.

The evening events require guests to purchase separate tickets that will grant them exclusive access to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure Parks after closing.

The events will feature “unique entertainment, special food, one-of-a-kind photo opportunities, collectible merchandise and more.”

Certain attractions will also remain open specifically for event guests with the bonus of shorter wait times, which, for anyone who has been to a Disney park, is a massive upside.

Additionally, guests will receive unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the party to ensure that they have the means to capture all of their wonderful memories.

80s Nite

When: January 29 starting at 6 pm

Where: Disneyland Park

The ultimate throwback bash! Make sure to pack your shoulder pads, leg warmers, and other vintage 80s fashion. Activities include “Flashback to Videopolis!” where the Fantasyland Theatre will be transformed into a nostalgic paradise complete with a live VJ, dancers “boogieing to the decade’s hottest hits,” and music videos projected on the screen.

Guests will also be able to come face to face with past Disney friends and indulge in an after-dark fireworks show with vivid and vigorous musical entertainment.

When: February 12 and 13 starting at 6 pm

Where: Disneyland Park

Grab your special someone and head to The Happiest Place on Earth for a night of romance.

This ultimate date night comes complete with love-song-themed dance parties as well as a swanky royal ball.

Guests will also be able to interact with some of Disney’s most legendary power couples, including Cinderella and Prince Charming, Aladdin and Jasmine, and, of course, Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

There will also be opportunities for romantic Instagram photos featuring some of the sweetest scenes from iconic Disney movies.

PIXAR Nite

When: March 5 starting at 5 pm

Where: Disney California Adventure Park

Spend a night with some of the most beloved stories and characters from Pixar Animation Studios.

Guests are encouraged to wear their “Pixar-best” and explore all the event has to offer, including hanging out with some of Pixar’s finest such as Russel and Carl from Up! and Sadness from Inside Out.

Let loose and take part in the interactive dance parties with unique themes surrounding favourite Pixar stories, such as the scare-tastic gang from Monsters, Inc. and the Incredibles family.

Villains Nite

When: April 30 starting at 6 pm

Where: Disney California Adventure Park

Let your dark side take over and indulge your inner villain at this wonderfully wicked party filled to the brim with Disney’s most mischievous and maniacal villains.

Guests can experience sing-alongs in the park, DJ-hosted dance parties, and a Villains Cabaret with a “cast of outlaws singing and dancing their way through a riff-raff lovin’ revue.”

Have an evil laugh battle with your favourite baddy through encounters with some of Disney’s infamously evil fiends or their henchmen.

But don’t dilly dally! A limited quantity of tickets for each event will be available starting next week on December 3 for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, and then on December 4 for the general public.
