You can now stream Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals every Friday (VIDEO)

Anyone who knows anything about musical theatre knows that Andrew Lloyd Webber is a household name.

He has created an abundance of groundbreaking shows, including Jesus Christ SuperstarCatsEvita, and Phantom of the Opera.

Lloyd Webber recently announced via social media that some of his most iconic musicals would be featured on Universal Pictures’ YouTube Channel “The Shows Must Go On!

Every Friday at 7 pm BST (11 am PST), users will be able to tune in to watch some of their musical theatre favourites created by Andrew Lloyd Webber completely free of charge.

That’s right. You get all the perks of going to the theatre without having to pay a dime or even leave your house, which, in a time of physical distancing, is pretty ideal.

The shows will be available for 48 hours after being posted to ensure you have plenty of time to get your musical theatre fix.

The first performance featured this Friday is the captivating rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.

The particular production featured will be from 2012, where the lead role of Jesus was portrayed by Ben Forster.

If you’re strapped for Friday-night plans in self-isolation, venture on over to The Show Must Go On YouTube channel and sing and dance along to some of the most iconic musicals ever created.

Lloyd Webber is also bringing joy to fans in quarantine by performing his famous songs and posting videos of them every day across his various social media channels.
