Well, get ready, because Amtrak is coming in hot with a scorching limited-time offer.
If you book from now until January 12 for trips scheduled from February 1 to June 12, 2020, you or a friend could travel for free.
Yes, you read that correctly: free.
The rail service is offering a limited buy one get one free deal on their fares when customers purchase a coach seat or sleeper ticket on select routes.
“Ride side by side in coach or comfortably together in your own room. From New York to Chicago to Seattle, you can watch the nation roll by. Move about the train at your own leisure—or stop by the Dining Car or Café for a bite to eat,” the company states.

The full-fare-paying friend and their companion are required to travel together, and reserve their seats in the same reservation.
They must also stay in the same room if applicable.
Blackout days for this offer include April 10, 13, and May 22 to 25.

Once purchased, the tickets are non-refundable. However, exchanges are allowed within the ticket validity period, but there will be a 25% cancellation fee.
